Connecting an email account to Papervee

In order to send automated emails and direct emails to appliants through Papervee Recruitment platform, you need to connect an email address in the "Settings" section.

To connect an email address in Papervee Recruitment follow these steps:

  1. Access Papervee Recruitment through the navigation button on the top right corner;

  2. Navigate to the settings page through the left menu;

  3. Select "Integrations" page through the top menu;

  4. Select "Email";

  5. Press the button "Add new address";

  6. Fill out the formular to add a new email address.

Below you will find instructions to set up the most common used email accounts.

Filling out the formular- Gmail

Email Address- Insert in this field your Gmail address (e.g. [email protected])

Password- For Gmail, you have to set up an App Password to connect to an external platform. The steps to obtain the App Password are:

  1. Choose "Security" page;

  2. In the section "Signing in to Google" choose "App Passwords". If this option is not available, make sure your 2-step Authentication is turned on in your Google Account. Read here the instructions on activating Google 2-step Authentication;

  3. In the field "Select App" choose the option "Other (Custom Name)";

  4. In the showed field type in the name of the platform "Papervee";

  5. Press "Generate" to create a dedicated password for the platform;

  6. Copy the password from the yellow section on the right, on the showed mode;

  7. Insert this password in the field "Password" from the Papervee formular.

Name- give this email a name (e.g. email work, email company, email personal, etc. )

IMAP Host - imap.gmail.com

IMAP Port - 993

SMTP Host - smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Port - 465

SSL Mandatory- check in this option

Filling out the formular- Yahoo mail

Email Address- Insert in this field your Yahoo email address (e.g. [email protected])

Password- For Yahoo email, you have to set up an App Password to connect to an external platform. The steps to obtain the App Password are:

  1. Press "Generate app password" or ”Generate and manage app passwords”;

  2. Add the name of the platform "Papervee" in the text field;

  3. Press ”Generate password”;

  4. Copy the generated password and paste it in the "Password" field from the Papervee formular.

Name- give this email a name (e.g. email work, email company, email personal, etc. )

IMAP Host - imap.gmail.com

IMAP Port - 993

SMTP Host - smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Port - 465

SSL Mandatory- check in this option

Filling out the formular- Microsoft 365 / Outlook / Hotmail / Live.com

Email Address- Insert in this field your Microsoft 365 email address (e.g. [email protected])

Password- For Microsoft 365, you have to set up an App Password to connect to an external platform. The steps to obtain the App Password are:

  1. Choose "App password";

  2. Press on "Create";

  3. Type in the name of the platform "Papervee" in the text field and press on "Next";

  4. Press on ”copy password to clipboard” to copy the generated password and then press on "Close";

  5. Paste this password in the field "Password" from the Papervee formular.

Name- give this email a name (e.g. email work, email company, email personal, etc. )

IMAP Host - imap.gmail.com

IMAP Port - 993

SMTP Host - smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Port - 465

SSL Mandatory- check in this option

Filling out the formular with another email provider

If you did not find your email provider in the list above, try searching for ”connect X email with IMAP” (X being the name of the provider), or ask your provider about possibilities to connect your account through IMAP.
